Yep and in a weeks time it’ll be textiles, waterproofs, thermal cloths and underwear all the superbikes will go into hibernation and those ugly, rusty winter hacks will be back

Come on Matt, we’ve got autumn’s rain, fog, piles of slippery leaves, post-harvest manuring of fields, roads, etc. to get through before we get anywhere near winter…
Don’t be horrible about my bike. It is an all year round bike it is. Just because it is “rusty and ugly” does not mean I dont enjoy riding it!!
It has been a tad cooler, enough to pack the summer jacket away for now.
Still, there will be a decrease in riders soon enough when it gets cold enough for textiles and thermals. Heated grips are such a bonus in times like those!

Looking forward to it to be honest - nothing like waking up at 5 on a crisp September / October morning for an early morning blast down to - Brighton or somewhere an hour away.
Pulling into a couple of greay spoons on the way to defrost your fingers over a steamy coffee.
Roaring through sleepy villages with that speacial sort of Autumn golden sunshine.
