bargain!! :ermm:

Don’t forget to tell them you’re parking it in the street. And that you like to leave the keys in it.

Do you get a free mortgage with that ?

who was the quote from

WTF , that`s is robbery.

Does that include breakdown cover:D On a seroius note, 34% APR - the robbing bastards:angry:

Every other industry gives you a discount for paying by direct debit. Except insurance companies, they charge an absolute premium!

Not quite the same thing. Insurances are a one off premium for the year. Monthly payments means that you get a loan to pay your insurance as a lump sum upfront.

APR is always high (unless used as a promotional tool by an insurer that is also a lender (ie MoreThan etc…) as the level of bad debt is quiet high (third party go crash on his own, right off the bike/car and therefore stop paying the monthly payments…)

The quote itself is a joke… And not a very good one at that… Would be interested of whom and the why thou

Sometimes the quote system screws up - I’ve had it happen to me (£6.5k - not quite as much as £12k, but then I am a bit older!).

The APR for the monthly payments is high, but as pointed out earlier the extra cost reflects not only lending money but the risks of payments not being made (e.g. only wants 6 months cover, so takes annual policy and stops paying after 6 months).

Insurance is competitive, so if you don’t like it there’s normally at least one that can do better (even in this case!).

Perhaps they just don’t like Z200’s?

Pity, because it was quite a decent little bike in its day. What theTriumph Tiger Cub should have been long before they stopped production.

Even if they don’t like them, they could have been a bit more polite in telling you to f’ off.

Are they throwing in the bike for that money Pete?

Given the current going price for a half decent Z200, they should be throwing in 20 - 25 bikes.

I can’t remember what company it was that gave me that quote - it was at the bottom of about 20 quotes, which ranged from £48 to about £235. I think they were having a laugh. Or I might call them to see if I can get a bit of discount!

ask them what happens if you have modded it! :w00t:

If it was an outlying quote it is probably just a computer programming glitch. Like the time I was using a flight comparison sight to get a cheap flight from London to Manchester as there were no trains following one of the big crashes about 1999. I needed to get there and back in a day for a meeting. There were plenty of BMI and BA flights at about £250 return. There was also the £6000 option that involved flying to New York and back by Concord before picking up the connecting flight to Manchester!

DEAL OR NO DEAL I THINK THE WORD IS **** OFF!!! THATS ******* MAD MY MATE GOT A 1098S AND A KTM LC4 FOR 800 BOTH BIKES… AND HE ONLY 23…

by a new bike for that and get more ****…etc etc etc

wot year is this i wanna get a quote on one now just to see lool

I got some ridiculous quotes but nothing as bad as that! But I always find it amusing when the salesman convinces himself that it is a very competitive quote and is trying to set it up for you! What a bunch of thieves…
