Hey people:D just of late i’ve been wide awake 21 hours a day! cannot sleep:doze: Ok so i’ve been really busy completing several sets of leathers and repairing suites during the day,but come 11 at night i have the usual wind down period, shower followed by milky beverage then try getting some kip “but i can’t”… I am up and about after an hour not even tired…then around 3am i start feeling tired so off to bed i go and i’m lucky if i’m asleep for an hour then BOING i’m wide awake again! anyone else suffer from this? and do you think it’s time i attended a sleep clinic? would’nt mind but i have no energy and i’m worried about the long term affect its gone have on me!
Oh I so know that feeling. Used to happen to me a lot, did a couple of things at the time and it seemed to work, but can’t say it was the right thing to do.
A bit of excercise, even if it was just a case of going up and down an extra flight of stairs
Hot, relaxing bath, before bed
Nytol - used this for at least a week at the same time every night to get me back into a pattern
Awww not good, I am the oposite lately, can’t stay awake, been having bouts of falling alseep at my desk…not good, maybe I could trade you some of my tiredness for some of your wide awakeness
vitamin b tablets can help, but they increae ur appetite so watch out for that…excercise is a good one as saffa mentioned…raddox showergells/bath thingymajigs helps, it could just be down to the fact uve got loads on ur mind…so while ur body is tired ur mind is still going at 100 mph…
Tiggi looks like your leathers may be done sooner than you anticipated at this rate lol:DRatty the weed works but cannot get hold of any been trying for weeks!:doze:
Nytol sends me the complete opposite of tired! talk about climb the walls!:hehe:
:crying:Oh and brandy don’t affect me i must have been a fish in a previous life lol:w00t:
I’m no doctor, but in the past I have looked into insomnia. There could be loads of different causes. Most common one is something on your mind though.
If you’re having a ‘milky drink’ is it also something that contains caffeine ? Just milk by itseld would be better.
Other things could include the bedroom environment. Bright colours, uncomfortable bed/pillow, clutter, watching TV in bed.
Personally I read a book (if I haven’t got anything more ahem interesting to do).
Marklid my other half works nights so giving him a w**k is outta the question:P
Tom the milky drink is usually oveltine/horlicks which i am fast going off and i can’t stand milk on its own:crazy: Guess i am gonna have to start running again try and knacker meself out…knowing my luck i’ll end up running as far as southend lol:D:w00t:
Sherrie that sounds interesting might look into that:w00t: i would’nt mind but i keep yawning and i shut me eyes and nowt happens lol last night i even tried self hypnosis by listening to a ticking clock but even that didnt work so i got up and finished working on blades jacket lol:D
That wont make you sleep waspie, if anything it makes you mind more alert but your body is knackered, even more frustrating. Half a bottle of Vodka might help?
