It seems extremely irresponsible to be selling flood damaged helmets! Even if the box has been in a flood I assume the helmet would have too. Shame on infinity!
I bought my first new bike there FZ1 ABS, they seem to be a good dealer with lots of gear.

Give them a sniff, see if they smell like mould?
I did chuckle when I saw the gear ‘flood damaged’ - surely most of it would survive rain water, otherwise we all might as well hang up our boots right now!!
Its not the outside …not read the link but imagine wearing a helmet that the inner lining has been saturated in effluent contaminated watet … or a high concentrate of detergent …
If it was saturated in effluent that really takes the piss.
(I’m here all week)
Think of any infinity shops in cumbria and such like what was floating around for weeks on end

So stay out of the rain if you think it may melt ? Rusty99There's a vast difference between rain water (which the plastic/fibreglass outer would help also act as a barrier against) and minging flood water. Maybe it's just personal preference, but if I immersed my helmet in floodwater I'd definitely replace it ASAP
That’s a puddle !
A puddle it may be but if I was a gambling man I’d wager the Mersey was cleaner

Sage advice indeed.
