I'm thinking about a winter project?

That aint bad I have ridden far worse  Most of the stuff I have is for the 650 fmx/dommie and I had a good clear out … I had a full arrow system its gone … plus flat slide carb also sold .original carb also sold your about a month to late it was all on ebay . I am honestly not sure what the remus cans are from they are either from a 625smc or a yam xt 660 do not remember . What is the bikes sickness ??

Not sure, I had taken off one morning with the side cover on the airbox:blush:

It started running sh1t. I went home and put the cover on and it was fine. Then some weeks later I had the throttle pinned, summit I dont usually do. it started mis-firing with flames coming out the zorst. It cleared itself, then every time I have pinned the throttle its done the same. I think I’d pinned the throttle the day I’d left the side cover off too? the AA brought it home last time, but it started the other day 2nd kind!

its time to flush the plop back to where it come from and get a xr650

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-xr-600-/320771963427?pt=UK_Motorcycles&hash=item4aaf7fba23 a nicer price ))

Airbox cover off would only let it run a bit lean if your correctly jetted I wouldn’t think it would do any serious damage over a day . Its not an RGV its an XR they can handle it … usually . Probably worth whipping off it’s top and checking your valves are all the right size and seating correctly …check top of piston for det damage and rejet if required .

I’m proud to say I have kickstarted and ridden The Riot!

You need that HONDA for a winter project  http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CRF-450-2002-SUPERMOTO-ROAD-REGISTERED-/130565967240 or http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2004-HONDA-CRF-450-SUPERMOTO-RED-EXCELLENT-CONDITION-NO-SWAP-PX-/320770774418
Lighter, quicker, cheaper too

The best thing to do with a CRF 450 is take out the engine and drop the CR500 stroker in there and build the ultimate animal ))) Unfortunatley CR500 engines of the later version now cost as much as the whole bike used to . Best stroker engine ever made . Wish I still had mine … lesson learned about selling legends … don’t .

And what will a 650 do that your favourite bike wont? You just want me to get out of The Riot so you can have it!:stuck_out_tongue:

These bikes dont have the finely fettled look of my bike. They like they could have been a bit neglected tbh?

I see where this is leading Garret, you’re gonna be selling that leg now aren’t you!:smooooth:

NumNum, dont listen to the doubters. They’re the ones that keep selling their bikes for something better. I keep selling my other bikes to fund this one!

The cans are fine , they do what they should its the headers is the problem they have split along a weld . The big SD sounded like a 50cal on the overrun hehe
