I'm no fair weather rider,....

Note to self?..get your waterproofs sorted out…nothing worse than riding at speed and wet and cold…rain dont bother me, im boiling hot and DRY…love it !! ive yet to try out the all in one waterproofs i just bought, cos im happy using trs and jkt and zipping together…but ya gotta be warm to either way!! Nowdays i rarely look at me leathers they have sat in cupboard for many a week…nope, i go for the winter jkt and trs now…padded, waterproof and warm, no more summer gloves either…back to me winter warmers…and good ol sidis…(err did we actually HAVE a summer this year?)

Hoping the essex air ambulance ride out wont be a wash out instead now !!!

get yourself an all in one wet suit,

think i would have gone by train myself

A green one to match your flippers

OKay, bin shopping and now have chain lube, tyre pressure gage, a fully serviced bike, ear plugs, gaffer tape, maps (for both France and Italy - woooo) and the all important waterproofs - hurrah! Getting bulbs tomorrow errrrr…

Anything i have forgotten??? (and dont say my keys!!! :laugh

Have you got a spare key / alarm fob?

Sounds like you are nearly sorted

breakdown cover is a must, as you will be a long way from home to call for help.

I know this might sound obvious but have you checked/upgraded your insurance cover to make sure they are happy with you riding in other parts of Europe?

Do you have to transfer it in some way as you’ll be staying there for so long and still using the bike?

weldone

Nice one, i rode to kettering on thursday in the pissing rain, leaking troosers and balls looked like a sack of prunes when i got there. Oops sorry too much information there!

Well done on the ride, and good luck on the adventure. Be amazed by the continentals lane disipline (no lane 2 hangers) and dont forget to ride on the right innit

ooooo, good for you!! i did something similar just after i passed my test (the next days in fact), 90 miles from Glasgow to Carlisle on a 125cc in the pissing rain…

I still have nightmares about that…
