If you're feeling generous...

Hello folks,

I’m not usually this cheeky, but seeing as it is for charity - the rule book goes out the window and I’m going to be shameless in asking you all for money… **Even if it’s only £1 - every penny helps.
**
I’m doing a 450ft abseil down the side of Guy’s Hospital on Sunday May 25th in aid of ** The Jennifer Trust for Spinal Muscular Atrophy ** . I’ve never been much of a marathon runner, so felt the abseil was more my thing.

If you would like to sponsor me, please visit my fundraising page at:

http://www.justgiving.com/hyder

If you fancy having a go at the abseil yourself, then there may still be places left; dates are Sat 24th & Sun 25th May. It costs £25 to register and you need to raise a minimum of £200 sponsorship. Yo can get details at: http://www.jtsma.org.uk/guys_abseil_may_2008.html

Many thanks,

H

Wow, that’s great! Don’t feel bad about asking, it’s for charity and we love to support our charities in London.

So, do you have to have experience with this to do it? I did absailing once when I was ten years old at a school summer camp. Man, that rocked!

I’ve donated a tenner to it.

Thank you Jay for being my 1st sponsor!!!

I did the school trip abseiling thing too, but more recently I have done a bit of it at work in the form of rope access (which is the industrial version I suppose) Even still… nothing like 450ft.

Even if you’ve never abseiled before they will teach you on the day. I hope the weather is OK that day.

Thanks again :o)

I’m in,

Good Luck mate:)

Done! Rather you than me mate. Not very good with heights. 450ft that is 137 metres. Sod that.

Thanks for all the sponsorships guys and gals - you’re all stars!

The LB have set a nice benchmark for everyone else from my work etc. who’ll visit the fundraising page to donate (I hope!).

With a bit of luck, I may meet some of you at the next newbie night at Ace and be able to thank you in person.

Thanks once again,

H
