I need summer gloves

So… 

I need new summer gloves, waterproof, not very expensive. Touring and commuting use, not a fan of power ranger boy racer style. Any ideas?

MX gloves wont be waterproof.

I’ve got Rukka Viriums ( http://www.rukka.com/motorsport/products/#!product/virium ) and they’re as close as I could find to a summer glove whilst still being likely to be waterproof. Waterproofing seems an odd thing to want from a summer glove, though; these aren’t cool or ventilated in the slightest.

there’s quite a few leather ‘summer’ goretex gloves out there… they won’t be vented or anything like that but I think they are classed as being ‘summer’ by the lack of any heating insulation in them.

I have a good pair of Joe rocket which lasted 3years, only upgraded to dainese recently as they fit well, like a glove :grin:

I have a pair of these and summer gloves they are NOT. 

In fact I need to buy a pair of summer gloves as they are baking my hands in this weather.

My previous pair of ancient Belstaff plain leather gloves these replaced were great for summer. Not waterproof but reasonable in a shower; the only downside being the length of time they would take to dry out after a soaking.

Yeah, but I don’t think there’s anything more summery while still being waterproof; there’s bugger all on those gloves aside from the Gore Tex liner and the textile outer.

Halvarssons Newman motorcycle gloves - lightweight, waterproof, breathable. Probably the best glove I’ve ever had and less than £80 :slight_smile:
