I rode, rode, rode. I started on the fuel light, filled up and ended with it flashing again. I had warm tyres; the sun on my back. I leaned it over further than I’ve ever leaned it before. I tried to get my knee down. I didn’t, but who cares? I used full throttle. I opened my visor at speed to see what it was like (loud). I saw how slow I could go without putting my feet down. I laughed out loud in my helmet. I went whole minutes without dropping below 5,000rpm. I shaved down my chicken strips to a less-embarrasing width. I nodded and was nodded to.
Now I’m in my local with a copy of Bike, sipping a pint of Guinness. Thanks for your thoughts, LB sages.
