I have a problem!

I have an SV650S 99-00, last night i decided to change the spark plugs, which the front plug proved to be quite difficult, however i did it after about an hours work… anyway before this i dip the bike on to its side whilst i turned it around as my garage space is iimited… when i tried to start the bike up after the hour it was cutting out and spluttering and the exhaust air was reeaallly powerful… also in the spy glass half of it is black which i know is not supposed to be like this… can somebody help with any suggestions! i can only think that i have flooded the engine and need to drain the oil out!!

Check your plugs first. Oil/Filter change is not the solution. Check HT Leads are properly seated both ends (might be a tank off job).

Forget the oil for a minute and go back and recheck what you did when you changed the plugs.

I doubt it’s anything serious;)

It does sound like you have got petrol in the oil.

Happened on my CCM when the carb float stuck…filled the airbox and the engine…:w00t:

Take the dipstick out and check the smell/consistency.

take the plugs out again, if there wet then clean them with break cleaner, dry them and put them back in. should be ok after that. if not and the plugs are wet again then you have flooded it.

Get back in the Kitchen :Whistling::smiley:

kiss my ****

Na thanx

wait till i see you next old man! Im getting Perry on you!!!
