So what is your view toward this matter? 
I don’t for one minute believe that they are all sent out to work the streets by their husbands, or that they all drug or pinch and hurt their kids for the sympathy effect. I do not deny that there are people who do this but there are also others who beg out of poverty, hunger and destitution. I believe that the majority of documentaries and news reports covering such topics are subjective and generally politically driven. How many times have you seen in the press or on TV programmes and articles highlighting the criminal element of asylum seekers and illegal imigrants etc and just how many have you seen spotlighting the genuine people who have had to flee their country, home and family in fear for their life? I have a friend who moved to the UK from Kosovo some years ago during the war in the Balkans, he is an ethnic Albanian and an honest and hardworking bloke who had to leave his country for fear for his life. Yet if we were to believe some of the press reports and other media on this subject many would judge him to be an illegal cab driver/drug dealer/people trafficker working down soho before giving him a chance. Similrly, not all homeless peple are drug addicted alcoholics, some are generally down on their luck, many as result of ‘Care in the Community’ are n the streets and suffering from mental illness too. I just thing it’s completely wrong to make a statement saying you ‘hate’ someone for begging with their kid in tow without knowing the slightest thing about them or their circumstances. But that’s just me.

This was specifically about women using kiddies to aid begging -we don’t “hate” them, but the fact that they use their kids as a tool - sorry for the kids & sorry for the women too.
Yeah but look at the title of the thread, and the first post basically assumes that they’re all the same. How does the originator know that they are using the kids for sympathy, how does he know that some of those women aren’t ones forced by their husbands to do this? Does he hate them too? I dare say if they are out begging then they probably wont be able to afford London childcare!shando

There was a well known homeless person in Brighton who walked around in bare feet with a rat on his shoulder. He was known as Ratman. He always needed 60p to get the last bus home/ cup of tea etc. Used to see him virtually every day ‘cashing up’ in the corner shop. A friend of a friend knew him and I heard he actually owned a house and had a car. I didn’t believe him until I saw Ratman parking his Golf and letting himself into his house in leafy Shoreham. Ho hum.

i don’t hate them. You know i’m a big suck when it comes to kids, i have one of my own, i use to give money to them but then i saw that program and it changed my mind, I stop giving them money . I think its wrong that the kids are use like this, Its not fair that the children are held up in that wrap all day its not healthy. But media also play a big part in every day and everyone lifes and This government does a lot for women with kids
they tend to use a large dose of calpol to put babies into sleepy mode… ive witnessed children beggin as little as 4 yrs old holding onto slightly older kids whilst their parents (mainly the dad) is around the corner watching them… its so wrong!
