I know just how that feel mate I really do. I have been for countless interviews and applied for countless jobs in the past 18 months and had no luck. Its got on top of me big time for sure and I can sympathise with how you feel. I also am in a job I hate and its poor money but not giving up and and keeping an eye out for the opportunity that suits you will come and everything will fit into place you’ll see.
That’s 3 of us on LB who hate their jobs and looking for something more suitable. Me out of a monster public organisation that has more layers of managment than the hair on a donkey!
Don’t worry Simon, you didn’t get the job because the skills they are looking for include, amongest many: ’ how best to kiss your boss’s arse whilst binding forward only slightly thus apprearing pro-active and dedicated instead of an arse kisser ’

Not sure I would want to do it but … the following job is available and they need a couple of thousand at the moment apparently !
The pay is actually not too bad, it could tide a few people over while they continue to search for something better ?

Flats, really sorry. I remember you telling me bout the job, I know how you feel.
You mustn’t give up though. I did 60 applications before getting the job i’m about to start - each of those wretched forms took at least 4 hours. I had 4 interviews and 1 offer, hence moving out of London.
Everyone said to me that i’d find a job, that I only didn’t get the ones I didn’t becuase they weren’t right for me, and I thought that was a whole load of rubbish and they were just trying to make me feel better.
But now I have my job, and they are the nicest bunch of people, and i’m so glad no one else wnated me, and I really think that this is the job for me.
Don’t give up, if you’re not happy with something, don’t stop till you are happy - won’t be easy though, but that will make it all the sweeter, I promise.
