Not strictly London I know but quite a few of us out this way - don’t try to get anywhere near the centre the whole place is closed off.
Bloody hell matey … now that looks bad, careful and don’t get too close.
We backed off rapidly - it leapt from there to the houses we were stood in front of - then the grass in front of us caught fire so we had to run away!

This was the point I ran away - we were between the house you can see in the foreground and the fire - it leaped across the road - a good 40 feet - and ignited the grass around us - burning embers landed on the roofs and the allyways started to fill with smoke… I was amazed how fast it spread and got over to us - I never want to be anywhere near a fire that big again.
**** that is some fire mate, hope nobody was hurt.
no one was hurt, they’ve now ruled out arson - looks like it was some paint or something that had been left at high level and had ignited in the heat.
