I’ve recently moved from France to North London , near Finchley , and i’m wondering where can I park my future bike ?
I’m not aware of the accepted things to do or not at all so i’m asking you
In front of my flat there are no spaces as my neighbors are parking their cars (and I haven’t go a park space)
Can I park on the road on a car space ? It’s a free to park street but I wont be able to attach the bike to a fix point
Can I park on the sidewalk ? I’ve been told that the police is not really comprehensive here but it’ll be the best to have something to attach the bike to
Can I ask some other house neighbors to park the bike in front of their house or is that not something you do here ?
If any of you live near Woodside park station and wanna help me with his garage it’ll be great
if the bays are free for bikes then you have to park with the back wheel to the curb. (perpendicular) in order to take up as little space as possible. If you park parrallel then you WILL get a ticket.
Thanks for that , the best will be to lock it to something like a lamppost that’s right , but its hard to do that when parking on the pay and display area , I dont have a 5 meters long chain :o
The bike will most likely be a 400cc , zxr , vfr or cbr , will depend of what i’ll find ! (i’ll prefer the zxr) , it’s not very expensive but i’ll prefer it to be safe
About the garage , maybe someone of this forum is living in the same street as me and we may find an arrangement , but going to Hendon to get my bike will be a little too complicated =)))
But i’ll come and me all of you on a wednesday evening as soon as i’ll get a bike ! (so after getting a job :o)
I’ll maybe come to tomorrow meeting , hope you’ll be there with this dark park space for me
