I’d get raped for insurance on the busa but it seems incredible that it’s only £500 more than a little cbr

the busa is a sports tourer so the insurance might not be as bad as you think

You should quote both… I can insure a Lamborghini gallardo and DBS for the same as my 2.3V5 Seat Toledo!!! Insurance has no sense!
£795 for the CBR
£1409 with the busa. assuming no claims that is.

Yeah , I have wondered what insurance grouping means .For example …
Manufacturer:
FERRARI

£1871.22
1 x £472.77
9 x £179.67
£2089.80

Legal Cover
yes
Breakdown Cover
£45.00 extra
Windscreen Cover
£30.00 extra
And then something more mundane …
Manufacturer:
FORD
Model:
MONDEO EDGE
Model Year:
2006
Transmission:

Engine Size:
2000cc
£1003.46
1 x £200.79

Makes very little sense .

I think it’s because the CBR is hewn from granite whereas the Busa is a sort of metal cheese composite alloy.
Oh and I ran some quotes for a Ferrari 360, they were only slightly more than the S40 2.0D (low pressure) turbo.

When I added my Busa to my Insurance there was no extra to pay ?
When I added Me and my brother to my dads car insurance he got a rebate ?
Anyway go for the Busa.

Yeah I added my aunt and uncle to my car and that reduced the premium by £300 in the first year. They’ve never even been in the car.
