A UK One-Make one…Good banter factor, but a lot of people living in the sticks who know nothing but open roads and whose idea of heavy traffic is a 20 meter queue to the local village’s Asda carpark…
An International One-Make one…very american though, I can only read something described as ‘AWESOME!’ so many times…
An International One-model one… again lacks the ‘banter factor’ but good for advice
Four seems to be enough - otherwise you’re always on the bloody net wondering who reacted to your last post.
There’s a CBF owners one I occasionally look at, and the Horizons unlimited one, for when I want to try and rent a bike overseas…but that’s about it for me. But I am also on a footie one for the mighty Ipswich.
Anyone know a good Lagos KTM owners club, so please advice
LB only for me, can usually find good banter, the odd heated discussion, decent mechanical advice and the odd questionable joke, what more does anyone need?
seem to be using LB less lately for posting but still look in most days. but might be less now the adult section is gone
ktm forum im on mostly now and use supermoto forum + supermoto junkie
can’t read mcn on bog cos need both hands for a pokeybumwank
Interesting - looks like an alternative forum is generally a one-model forum.
Must admit the UK one-make forum is spoiled a bit because the models fall into about five different categories and there is always in-fighting between them in the banter section.
This is ok in taking-the-piss mode but it often turns insulting and personal with lots of “Your type of bike is crap and only a fucking idiot dumb ****** would have one” type posts which turn me right off. The ‘each to their own’ philosophy seems to have gone out of the window there.
On the plus side there’s lots of activity simply because of the huge numbers of members contributing.
Londonbikers - Local forum so interested to see what’s happening, usually good “what happened to me” kinda posts that I like reading.
Biekchatforums - Very unrestricted forum so good for banter & scandals forums.sv650.org - I like SV650’s but only tend to use it for the sales section. It’s full of too many boring sensible simons who swear by the forum “rules” like they’re a bible.
Gixerjunkies - Only for the sales section, general chat is usually pretty decent and a lot of down to earth folk.
lol sv forum hated us supermoto lot at lydden hill because we don’t ride the racing line and was over taking them on bends was a funny read at the time
I allways use this site, normally a bike specific one (triumphtorq for the trumpet, 1000rr.co.uk for the blade), then one local MK one for local runs, piss ups, etc
