How it is with restriction??

I’m not saying SV’s are not capable on track but if you rode one back to back with an R6 you’d soon notice the difference in the corners.
In the same way ridden back to back the sv would feel mote ‘user friendly’ in town.

I’d prefer a big twin over an il4 on the road because you can’t beat the feeling of low end grunt

Do you take your restricted bike on the track? How does it compare with the other bikes you’re on the track with?[/quote

Yeah, only done mallory and rockingham national ands it’s fine on those tracks but obviously somwhere like silverstone gp it would get raped on the straights

hmm yes and no mate, still boils down to the rider…

PPG on here races an SV and and carrys some pretty damn fast corner speed, i know ducati pete has said before about being able to get on the power earlier out of a corner with a vee twin engine…but yes they lose out on top end definetly.

cant completly rule the SV out as you did in your first posts fella;)

nope…you cant beat low down grunt of the vee:D

i had a go on my mats k7 gixxa6 yesterday…again…everytime i ride it i like it more! sooooo easy to ride, smooth too, and blody tiny!

Yes, its everytime about rider…I have one friend, last year he had a Hornet 600. On cirquit on trackdays he everytime knock down 1000 ccm bikes…Of course just in technical stages…I think the SV can be right, around 3000 pound I can have 2007 year bike, for R6 i have to wait for next year :stuck_out_tongue:

PS: There is video of this guy, its from one very good road in czech. He is guy with yellow suit on blue Hornet http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gc3IiNB28ik&feature=related

Makes me think I won’t have to wait til July to go on track then. What was your topend speed? Surprised with the restrictor they weren’t losing you. It takes longer to accelerate with the restrictor…

No it’s honestly fine, although I’m in novices so not everyone is flat out down the straights. Speedo reads 125 flat out
