How cool is this????

This visor switches from clear to black at the touch of a button.

How cool is that?:w00t:

If only… no doubt the tits in suits would ban inovation like that as dangerous for no apparent reason

Wow! I want me one of those!

yes that is good…better than an inbuilt visor which pushes the helmet too far forward restricting your line of vision…

Bit like my automatic welding mask

you should wear it to the next meet :stuck_out_tongue:

2T which helmet was that ? I tried the caberg with one in but it hits my glasses, so Im hopefully getting the NOLAN this week the sunvisor on outside.

I did, you should see me without one :stuck_out_tongue:

The schuberth…its really good for touring and delightfully quiet, but if your riding a spoerts bike head down it reduces your vision as you go around the corner because there is so much helmet above your forhead projecting forward…not good at all, but for a sports tourer its superb…really comfortable and as i say so damn quiet…

thats the dogs danglies

bet it would cost a fair bit

Don’t standard visors anyway? For a clear and a tinted Arai visor you will pay about £70 anyway:)

They said it needs to be ‘plugged in’, which would be a bit dodgy…depending on the power required, could it be done off battery…?

Can’t be any worse than a plug in intercom thingy can it?

I spose with the pace of technology it will be a micro battery soon enough:cool:

Nice idea though eh?

elad they have a set of internal rechargeable batteries…they also have a light in the front so you can read a map at night and two little LED’s on the back of the helmet so people can see you are there…

they’ve also got a more basic visor that reacts to light levels like those sunglasses you can buy at opticians

how about a cheaper option (no power supplies, batteries etc.)

how about a sun powered visor (photochromatic visor, like reactions lenses) ?

too expensive?

Very cool, it’s about time this technology came to market, it’s been practical for a while now. Next up will be a Heads-up-display to display vital bike/journey information in your sight.

Awesome… I’m sure there was a conversation about photochromatic visors in another thread. They’d be great. Not sure about the map reading light, that could just get confusing. Sooner or later we’ll all be wearing LED suits like Dynamo from ‘Running Man’ (cr4p Arnie film in the early 90’s).

Still- wonder on prices…

see prev post…
