There is a white 3-4 pin connector plugged into the tray of the seat cowl just in line with the rear seat section of my Hornet 2008 model. It seems to be plugged into a dummy connector seated into the tray or bottom of the cowl.
It comes off the loom in a Y junction with the leads that connect to the rear lights.
Thanks for the reply. I kinda guessed it might be for that or as an auxillery for some other upgrade.
Do you have any more info. I’m going to order a Scorpio i900 alarm. It would be useful to be able to plug it in there rather than start messing with the rear tail light cables.
If I could get a matching connector I could probably rewire the alarm accordingly.
Thanks for that. A useful site, although I couldn’t find the indicator connectors I was looking for, although I did see them on eBay. The i900 can be purchased with a compatible harness anyway so I might wait to see just how compatible it is.
Does anyone know if the wires that lead to the plug I mentioned in the first part of the post are split from the same tail wires. ie. would it normally be a straight plug in because they connect to the indactors, rear tail light, etc. I haven’t got a meter to test it with I might have to use a bulb soldered to a couple of wires and activate the indicators, and brakes to check.
Also where would I get a compatible connector?
Lastly you guys might want to look at they’ve got some good diagrams and you can order parts directly.
