ratty, my mate who was into bikes before me (doesnt ride atm) got an SV650S for his first bike and we did a lot of two up stuff, he got knocked off and bought a 2002 Hornet and it was this that really set my heart on a CBR (for the engine )
coming back from the bike show, we went past the āLondon 99 milesā sign, and 60 minutes later were back in kingston⦠proper fun bike, and massive profile rear tyre = sexyness He has a carbon can company slip on and it sounded lovely (nicer than my CBR does)
Iāve had mine 5 years, used it every day all year long for 4 years for commuting, touring, ride outs, everything! Fantastically reliable and I get over 160 miles to a tank every time (including reserve), maximum I got out of it was 186 miles all in windy country lanes and I had 0.5 litres left
I still love it now Iām in London and still get fantastic mileage out of a full tank
i get about 145-150 before i need to go over to reserve then get another 25 or so miles before i fill upā¦havent seen how much ill get on reserve but its not bad going (mines not white either)
Ok, it must be if youāve got āweeā in your username then
I guess my Hornet is an older one from 2000, so has 1ltr less capacity. But still youāre doing well! :w00t: I might be a bit heavier, and the bike more worn too.
I rode a GS Adventure 6,800 miles to Bahrain ⦠was a great bike in almost every way. After that the Hornet felt tiny, but still great to get back on Would be even greater if I could get 50mpg out of it
well hopefully in a few weeks i will have a hornet to harrass the sportsbikes with:D:D
i will get better fuel economy with the hornet than i will my SV1000 wich is coming off the road for a re-build and then i decide what to do with it⦠dare i say itā¦sell the SV or make it a track/play bike:D,then i could buy my brothers SH125i scoot-needs new engine tho:w00t:- for winter commuting, prob have to seel the SV to do that.
