does anyone know of any websites where they only sell honda spares apart from the fireblade shop!!
i’m after a clutch cover for a 98 fireblade.
i had a little spill the weekend doing a bit of roundabout surfing!!
doh!!!
Could try the obvious, ebay ?
what happened then Ricky ?! Any other damage done (apart from the obvious?)
How did you manage to break the clutch lever going round a roundabout…clutch on the left side and your going right?
Take it easy on the Knee down stuff guys it will end in tears if you get over confident and push the angles.
Glad to hear your not hurt though Ricky.
no not the lever!! the cover on the engine at the bottom!!
its either the clutch or the alternator cover!!
the clutch cable goes into the right hand side of engine on the old blades!!
so i presume it is right!! :w00t:
yer mate im fine! didnt have far to hit the ground!!! ![]()
looked on there nothing much!!
nothing major!!! most of the bike is marked anyway ( you’ve seen it lol ):w00t:
the good thing with old shitta’s!!! throw it down the road pick it up dust it off and keep riding!![]()
a couple of days ago i adjusted my rear sets down an inch so i could get a better position on the rear brake!!
as i was leaning to the normal knee down angle! the peg caught the tarmac! lost grip and the rest is history!!!
as far as i’m concerned its a learning experience!!
i didnt think an inch could make that much difference!!
but i do now!!!:w00t:
Doh - better jack 'em back up !
borrox hes just a big fugger, the blade dont liek him!
oh yes your right there!!
gonna have to change the peg settings with my mood!!!
down and low for holligan
up high for roundabout surfing and track
oooiii who ratt 'led your cage!!!:w00t:
you did ya twot!![]()
is it outer cover with 3 screws holding it ?
is so it’s quite cheap even from honda , it used to be anyway , i had to buy one for my 99 blade
yep you are right there fella!
i noticed that when looking on the net earlier at pics of the cover that it had two parts to it
am i right in thinking that i dont need to replace it straight away as it just a cover for the cover!
was only gonna replace it as i have snetterton booked for monday and didnt want it spitting oil everywhere on the track!!:w00t:
