Just passed my full licence today and am looking at a honda deauville - anyone have one ? what do u think of them ?
Hey,
WELL DONE
Congratulations on passing.
The Deauville is quite possibly one of the most practical bikes ever created. Small enough to filter, 19L fuel tank, good range and economy, panniers as standard, great weather protection, shaft drive and a workhorse that will do years and miles of service. One doneside- about as exciting as John Major.
I rode one of these for a few says as a courtesy bike - Kevsta is right on the money - possibly one of the most reliable, practical, fuss free bikes on the market - built in panniers, shaft drive, fairing etc - you can’t fault it except. . . it is so dull, dull, dull - it’s the motorcycling equivalent of the boring accountant in the monty python sketch. If you want more fun/performance/attitude and still get the reliability then look at a fazer, hornet, yam mt-01, bandit,er-5 etc. congrats on passing.p.s. sorry to anyone reading this whos got a deauville;)
