Holy................

SH*TE… Just before J4 of the M25 this mornin, riding along about 60/65mph lane 3, open road ahead when suddenly there is a piece of wood 3ft long and about 3x3 right in front of me! had no time to avoid it, hit it went airborne. Another, whan I can only asume was a piece of wood, hit me on the right hand. Went into a bit of tank slap but managed to hold on and get to the hard shoulder.

Had a quick look for damage but all looked ok so carried on to work. Just had a good look at the bike to find that BOTH wheels have been damaged.

Bet this is going to be expensive

Glad you are ok, could have been worse.

Whats the damage to the wheels?

sorry to hear that mate prob come off a tipper lorry glad ur ok wheels might cos abit though

ooofffff glad you’re ok.

If it’s gonna cost, think about claiming on insurance.

That’s awful! Glad to hear your ok!!!

Both sides of the front rim flated one side of the rear.

Just spoke to garage they say I might be lucky and be able to have them re-rolled depends on how bad they are, keeping fingers crossed.

DAMN Busa! not much you could have done!

and as someone said : Im glad it wasnt worse…

(<-more like phew)

Comes as a bit of a shock doesn’t it?

Glad you are OK fella.

I always think about Robert Dunlop’s collapsed RC45 wheel when people talk about getting alloys repaired

IMO If I am willing to spend £500 on a helmet it’s a false economy to save a few quid by getting a wheel straightened.

Agree with you on that.

Just got prices £388.00 front £528.75 rear + fitting

Plus tyres possibly, the carcass could be damaged inside.

Was it you I passed on nthe A507 on Sunday about 1.30pm heading towards the A1 ?

Have a look on Ebay mate

I’m pretty sure TL1000R and some Gixxer wheels are the same.

I nicked this off TLZone

Front wheel, 3.5*17", Suzuki:
TLS, TLR, GSX-R 600 SRAD (97-00), GSX-R 750 SRAD (96-99), Hayabusa. Questionably GSX-1400

Rear wheel, 6*17", Suzuki:
TLS, TLR, GSX-R 750 SRAD (96-99). Fits also: GSX-R 1000 (GSX-R spacers and cush drive), Hayabusa (different rear rotor and probably spacers). Questionably GSX-1400.

well, if that is the fitment for them wheels then i have a pair sitting here.

Pic’s attached

Know how you feel mate, just came round the one way at Lower Sydenham after picking the daughter up and something has deposited a load of gravel and stones on the road, luckily was in the car and that slid rather than drove round the corner.

Mo,

Glad you here to tell us about how expensive it’ll be!

What is it with the M25, I had front tyre blow out just by jct 5, and I’ve seen bits of wood as large as you described strewn along there too!

Hope you can fix up cheaper than official prices and quickly!

There’s a 'Busa front wheel on Egay for £50 and a TL rear for £75 if that helps

£70 for powdercoating and they will be as good as new

ewhat?

or FleeceBay… You decide

Cheers guy’s hopfully with the help of Andyp69 things should get sorted at a very reasonable cost.

Oh! just remembered must drop the leathers off at the dry cleaners
