You may remember I was a witness to a BMW 4x4 taking out on purpose a guy on a harley on the A21 in Feb, well at last some progress Traffic has now transfered this to CID as they are now agreeing this was done on purpose and not an accident. I was at the station yesterday giving my statement and they are going to go and arrest the driver soon - who is known to the police but not for driving offences.
They think it will go to court so hopefully he will get done.
Good to see the police are following through on witness statements. Hope the BMW driver gets their just desserts.
Should be arrested for attempted murder.

The person that took my statement said they would look at GBH - I think it should be attempted manslaughter.
Would they go to prison for GBH?
Honestly I doubt they’d get much more than a slap on the wrist, a telling off and may be a fine! It should be attempted murder as it was a premeditated and deliberate act, but the laws been so diluted by the fluffy slipper wearing loony left. It may not even get to court!!
Not that I’m an officer or know the law, but from my understanding of it all, they won’t go for the full whack charge unless they’re 100% they’ll win the case…so often go for a lesser charge to make sure they get a conviction. In this case, manslaughter may be hard to get but GBH, that still commands a prison sentence etc, has a stronger chance of getting a conviction.
Hopefully the driver will get put away for this for a while. Not that he’ll learn from it, give a damn or become a better driver for it. Instead he’ll hate bikers more, learn some illegal ‘skills’ from other prisoners and get free board and food while still having his human rights catered for.
Personally I think he should be put in a room with the victim and some friends on a daily basis and beaten to a pulp by them. Lot less drain on tax payers and the victim will feel better for it.
Unfortunatly mate with a crime like that you have to prove intent which is a very difficult thing to do and the CPS will not go with most things now unless they think they can win.
Should just post his reg number up and let some nice people take justice to another level…its what aluminium baseball bats were made for, or is it milk bottle and petrol…cant remember which is best…just so hard to get decent milk bottles nowadays…
Err isn’t manslaughter where you kill someone either accidentally through being grossly negligent or whilst doing them harm without intending to murder them? So how can you have a charge of attempting to murder someone accidentally/unintentionally ? :crazy:
As there’s witnesses, justice & common sense say it should be attempted murder, wont be though 
If it was deliberate, the charges are quite variable from actual bodily harm (if there was injury) through to attempted murder. (A bit unlikely)
However you or the police feel about the severity doesn’t matter a toss. It will come down to the CPS deciding how strong a case will get a positive score against the costs incurred in bringing the case. They have targets to meet and budgets to work to. Sad but true.
Brace yourself for a police caution being the outcome.
