Hi everyone at LB!

I am a Greek biker, I live in Athens, I ride ‘Britain’s finest’(Triumph Daytona 675) and quite possibly I will be in London in October for a year to do a Master’s hopefully at the LSE or King’s College. Although I have lived in London for 4 years, I wasn’t a biker back then(more likely a bike-basher:P) and I would really like to discuss with you about all things ‘biking in London’, and of course why not meet for drinks when I come. It is good to be with fellow bikers and not just riding on my own.
I have several questions concerning traffic and lane-splitting laws, where to park my bike safely without paying a fortune(I will be staying very centrally in london) etc.
If anyone of you has ever visited Athens you will know already that when it comes to traffic it is a total nightmare, so I’m quite sure that I’m up for a great shock(in a positive way) when I start to ride in london.

Welcome to LB Dim

Don’t worry about the riding in London, I’m sure it’s not as hectic as Athens! It can be a little aggressive at times, but you’ll get used to it. As for parking, it’s free as long as you use a bike parking bay

You’ll have plenty of practice with your riding, and it doesn’t take too long before you can cut through london like a pro

I’m sure you’ll be made more than welcome on the forum, and when you eventually come over
