Hi everybody, my name is Peter.I live in the north, near Sunderland, (not really a football fan don’t worry), which may seem a bit strange, joining London Bikers when I don’t live anywhere near London, but there you go.
I’ve read a few of the posts on this forum and found them useful, friendly and helpful, so I decided to join in. You don’t have to be in London to participate do you?
I used to ride when I was young (and daft) but gave it up and became married, children etc, the usual stuff, sold the bike to help buy somewhere to live an stuff. I sure you’ve heard it all before…
So I guess I’m one of those born again bikers! Been riding for 7 -8 years now with a small group of friends sometimes. and I love it!
Being this far north Scotland is within easy reach and we have 3 - 4 trips a year to the bonny glens. First trip this year will be May bank holiday. Plans are to visit Newtonmore and Portree on the Isle of Sky at the moment.
We also do a European tour each year, not everybody goes every year and we have ‘guests’ riding with us also. Its absolutely the best, if anybody hasn’t done the Europe thing and is thinking about it, I would say just go do it!
The photo is of me and my bike at the top of one of the passes, its on the road out of Chamonix (France) just about to start heading down again into Martigny (Switzerland).

I’ve looked at other bike forums but this one seems to be about the friendliest and open that I’ve seen.
I’ve already posted a question in the “Products and Upgrades” forum and tried to help out with a reply in that same section.
Hopefully it will be the first of many.
