Not sure if any of you know, but i lost my british passport last yr, and when i moved back home i applied and got an irish one.
Ive now had an official letter from Irish passport office, stating that theyre revoking my passport due to the suspicious activity, and they want to interview me in Dublin!!!
Did you report your passprt lost last year? Don’t be tempted to apply for a British one as it will probably flag the irish Passport office want to speak to you and will be another red mark…
Why don’t enquire at the Irish Embassy in London - they must have a passport desk - you’ll proabably have to submit for an interview either way…
didnt report british one lost for about 6mths, cause i didnt realise it was in bag i had lost, till i went to look for it 6 mths later in flat and it wasnt there!
Somebody may have been using your passport for smuggling or other highly illegal and immoral activities :PWhen you turn up for interview, pre-lube your ar*e with a bit of KY jelly, get it right inside, just as a precaution ;)
Losing a passport isn’t the same as losing citizenship. Can’t you just fill in the passport application form for a replacement passport stating the old one was lost/stolen?
A passport is only a travel document, not proof of citizenship. Your proof of citizenship will be held centrally, based on your original passport application 10 years ago.
And you can hold two passports - my son is entitled to three of them!
