help

Would like your help please! I’m going to look at a Triumph Daytona 600 on saturday and as this will be my first bike I was wondering if anyone could give any advice on things to look out for? In fact any help at all would be greatly welcomed.

its an 04 plate.

Thanks

Simon

Simon, take a friend who knows a bit about bikes.

It also stops you going all rose-tinted-lenses and parting with wedge - a second opinion is good.

Have a read of these reviews as well: Good to go well informed on the bike you are interested in getting.

Sounds like a nice bike. Triumph do make a good handling bike, just keep it clean… I’m working this weekend or I might have been tempted to go and have a look as I ride a Triumph Sprint.

Wonder if it is Jonny-Zero’s - he had it advertised at Bikesafe…

Got an 05 Daytona 600 myself. I’m trying to think of anything that I would say is a problem to look out for that is particular to the Daytona. Engine is much improved on the TT600 so no issues there. Not aware of any recalls etc. Only gripes are that the tank isn’t metal so my tank bag magnets don’t work, the pillion seat is a bit difficult to remove when you turn the key (Just give a smart bang on top of the seat to loosen it, tools should be in here, you also need to give a bang to get it back in). Coolant is under pillion seat as well and is a pain to fill up.Anything else then PM me. Stephen

Went with him to look at bike - it was Johnnys, looks like he bought it - think he is picking up late next week!

I enjoyed mine, did about 500 miles on it in the 6 days I had it before sending it to the great pikey sale that is Universal Salvage :w00t:
