i would take option 1 :laugh:if they take option two all the speed awareness is that your in a classroom with a load of other people and they show you videos and other stuff to do with driving, and maybe a few accident pics aswell and a few talks about speeding they think this will help you not wanna speed no more go for option two,
From what i have heard Ginger has it covered. But i think the best advice really for you father, if he is tempted to tear around in a 30mph limit:cool: at speeds of 38mph :w00t:is next time, make proper observations, and DONT GET CAUGHT:D:Whistling:
wife did the speed awareness course, she felt she learnt from it and it means no points, why would you chose any other option ? unless you werent speeding
I got done on exactly the same camera in Epping and got offered the speed awareness course as an alternative to 3 points. It was 3 hours on a weekday morning, they don’t have Police doing it as it would end up as a slanging match about speed cameras. Two very nice chaps talk to you, free coffee and biscuits etc.The whole day is geared around why 38mph can be dangerous, stopping distances, and how the extra mph can be the difference between life and death. A little quiz about speed limits, some very strange answers there and you’re away.I thought not too bad and better than 3 points on your license.Very easy to book once you accept the offer, pay your £60 at time of booking.Remember to take driving license, they do check. If you’re like me admit your occupation:blush: to show that it can happen to anyone,no favoritism
cheers people for your help:) as we all know, we’ll all drift over the limit some times but it’s a risk you’ll pay sooner or later like my father 36years biker & a clean licence. but times are changing with more technology & different ways of being snapped. it will always pay off to know the area you’ll be riding.
but the speed awareness option does sound like a good way to go & at least it shows that they are not always out to punish us, just teach us a lesson:blush:
