help need what shall I do?

Fonud out yesterday it is my mums 50th on the 16th (I thought she was 49) so I have no organised anything, rang my 2 sister who knew but aint arranging anything…

so what can I do, has to be cheap as not saved any cash any ideas people?

help me out here. if possible can we please try and keep is serious as i only have like a week and a half to organise it.

Have you got a local pub that has an area they can set aside for you… if so ask them to do this-no cost.

Then see if you can arrange ‘finger foods’ up to your budget… friends and family will then buy their own drinks from the bar at no extra cost to you.

Try to rope in as many friends & family, get word around asap to keep it under wraps and get your mum there as a nice surprise.

If the above option is a nono then see if one of her friends or even her house would be available to do a surprise birthday party or get together for her, and again rope in as many or a local sandwich bar to do finger foods.

Failing that, book a restaurant and take her out for a nice meal, you could have a cake and balloons already waiting at the restaurant/table for her to arrive.

Best of luck and nice one for thinking of your mum unlike your sisters.

How much is cheap? You want a diamond pendant? I could make you one up easily within the time? Wouldnt cost too much?

That’s a lovely idea! Something to keep forever

probably around £100ish (believe me I’m kicking myself now) that is pretty much amongst the whole family though…

does not help that it is a week before payday.

Flowers always are good, whatever the occasion

Take her out for a meal…

Would like to do something a little more exciting really.

but the way things are going this is probably what is going to happen

It’s the Mini’s 50th Anniversary this year – you could hire her one for the day and take her somewhere?

OR, as part of a bigger gift, get her some mini-memorabilia and frame it:

That said, she may hate mini’s! :stuck_out_tongue:

she cannot drive, so don’t think she would appricate that so much but thanks for the ideas and keep em rolling people

Think youll find your Mum would be happy with the idea that you organised something, anything. Its all about the thought. She will understand that times are tough so dont beat yourself up over this. Mums are the best when it comes to all of this kind of stuff.

I know its not all that exciting but how about a nice home cooked dinner or lunch, (get the rest of the family round too and mabe get some help with the cooking) a big bunch of flowers and a card telling her how much you appreciate all that shes ever done for you.

Once payday come and youre a bit more flush you can get in all the excitement she needs with a day trip to Alton Towers

Something like a Spa day perhaps, lots about for well under £100 and she can take someone with her too

Just the whole family being there with her for the day would be good, then work up from there to whatever you can collectively afford.

Effort is appreciated more than cash things with Mums and Dads from my experience.

Damn good day for a birthday,:Whistling:
