I’ve emailed them this afternoon, to ask if they intend to produce a biker version.
We’ll see what they say…

The problem is, do they do GPS maps for the UK?
or is that not how it would work?
Well since it’s a SDK, you should be theoretically able to make it do whatever you want it to do! Which sounds great, can’t find any pictures though, there are other HUD systems for bikes, what makes this so special?

Yeah, this will probably be better than Google There already is a HUD on the market that’s for motorcycle helmets I’ll try to find it. What info would you like to have there though? I’d be fine with speed and navigation. I drove the new BMW 5 Series with HUD and it was amazing, if there was something like that for bikes I would buy that tomorrow.
Speed and navigation yes, but another feature it has is the ability to connect to a contour HD. Now if that was mounted on the bike pointed aft, you could see behind you in the eye piece.
That coupled with the speed/nav function amounts to a traffic killer!!

Which means it’s gonna be a long time before anything like this hits the shelves.
This technology would be really cool. Especially on a sports bike where viewing the clocks and satnav involves bring your head to your knees.
I’m tempted to get the Snow version and Mod it.
I’ve asked Julie at recon if this is possible, bearing in mind what was said about the features of SDK.
Yeah that might involve a lot of work however… But if you’re up for it, I’ll gladly buy a modified HUD from you
