Helmet cam owners? Please post your vids

:w00t:

Well I’ve decided it’s a good idea! Ideally I’d like one for 1). high definition (i.e. read numberplates) and 2). night riding

Any recommendations?

Can you post any vids you might have shot with yours? What do you like about yours and why?

Cheers

+1 This really interests me. It would be great fun for entertainment as well as protection, just not sure if it would make the police want to stop me and watch for something incriminating!

proper good piece of kit.

once a get a bike ill sell my camera and mount and get a 1080p camera, some thing small, light, compact.the trouble wiht these action cameras is once you try to shoot hand held video i bet its harder.GOPRO make a good camera

Hi,
I’m using a solid state hard drive attached to a 1080p Bullet cam, it comes with a detachable mic
This works better for me as i shove the whole lot in the tail under the pillion seat and is connected to my batt so i don’t worry abt running out of battery:D
The bullet cam is mountable anywhere and can be disconnected easily.
Mic works wonders too;)

I bought this of Action Cameras when they 1st opened
Contents
DVR (takes upto 2GB SDHC cards - Enough for a whole days trackday)
2 Rechargeable Batt packs
Mic
Bullet cam 1080P
12V wiring kit
Cables to connect to TV
AC Charger

I’ve used all in one cameras b4 and didn’t find the quality very good (Oregon ATC5K)

Here are some links of bullet cams:-

Sounds like an awesome set up llcoolj (nice username btw :D). Mind telling us how much that kinda setup costs?

do you post up on youtube? give us a link if you do:)

Yeah, i got some vids on youtube

Just type in dangmow168 and see my vids.

The kit cost me £75 as there is a light problem with the camera, it slightly exposes the pic, but since i’m only using this for track days its not too expensive to write off

A kit like this normally retails about £175, but it works well

i like the one with the porsche…i see what you mean about the light problem.i just bought a 4gb card and spare battery for my cam and i bet i wont get to use it

Yeah, but its alright for track days:D

4GB Yeah, thats a lot of mem:D

Oh, thats a diff one:)

U need to get the DVR seperate from the Bullet cam.

DVR specs vary according to price, most DVR’s have a screen so you can actually see what your recording and can be used for playback too:D

This is alright for 145quid

Nice vids guys, should keep me busy at work
You guys are really fast!

Yeah, that is some quick riding … very nice!

You don’t need a high-def setup to read numberplates (depending on distance)

I’ve just bought one of these, but have not tested it yet:

Tachyon XC10

TBH…if I had seen this first, I would probably have ordered it.

Mini DVR2

Good camera, price and package…
