Having a romantic weekend in Reims and the Champagne region. Should be some love in the air with just me and the Kawasaki. Oh yeah - and the Mrs is riding pillion (but she’s promised not to spoil it for me and the KLV).
Ride safe everyone.

let us know how you get on mate. riding out that way myself in a few weeks.
Lovely roads to Reims…Went the week before last.
Stayed in best western de la paix hotel which was a very nice way to relax after a hard days riding…Secure underground parking too.
tell me more napa! what roads did you take etc?
I can highly recommend heading north to Givet and the roads around there. no joke, we found it impossible to take a random road and find a bad one
We went Calais, Le Havre, Reims, Calais and used the windy road function on the TomTom Urban rider fluctuating between Minor and intermediate settings depending on time. I can’t recommend the windy road function on the Urban Rider enough if riding over to France. It really makes it easy and fun.
WE just got in safe and sound. Fantastic time - really felt my emotional attachment grew and grew, and the wife didn’t spoil it either.
We took the Eurotunnel, blasted down the A26 (love that 80mph limit). WE stopped at Aras on the way and had a break in the town square in front of the beautiful cathedral. We then carried on to Reims where we stayed at the NOvatel suites. Very nice there - thje Best Western was my first choice, but was fully booked. The Novatel had secure parking also - and the room has free movies internet and so on. Not bad.
Just south of Reims is the CHampagne tourist route. Nice twisty roads through several little villages with Champagne producers everywhere. We took a nice ride through the villages had several freebie glasses of Champagne (I took that easy obviously) and ended up in Epernay. We took the Mercier tour of their cellars, 30m below ground and you get driven around on a little train. Very cool to see - well worth the 11 Euros with the tasting at the end.
We ate a couple of nights in Reims - excellent food - really can’t go wrong in France.
On the way back we stopped in St Quentin (very nice and Lens (wouldn’t bother with that next time).
All in all very nice trip.
Her’s a shot of my little honey in amongst the grapes. Gorgeous isn’t she. Bloody wife wouldn’t get out the shot though.
those are terrible boots to be riding in
