Not a great surprise I suppose giving that Karl is going backwards this season. Guess it’ll be Tommy Hill who gets the ride for the rest of the year, or should be if Shaun Muir is serious about wanting a second rider who could help Easton’s challenge on the championship.
Good luck with another ride Karl, it would be a huge shame if you missed the rest of the season.
I have to say Karl just doesn’t cut it in the top class, he was awesome in the supersport class but has always been left wanting in BSB. Hopefully he gets another ride back in Supersport and shows everyone that he does have the ability that we know he has.
I guess there is some truth to what PJ is saying, even his time at HM Plant alongside Leon Haslam wasn’t staggeringly successful except for an extraordinary ride at a wet Croft.
Certainly his confidence would benefit from a successful year or two in Supersport where there is less pressure - look at the change in Skippy McConnell this year as proof of that. Karl seems to have suffered from so much bad luck in recent years along with being dropped every year can’t be doing his confidence and self belief any favours.
Watching Karl from our unique position he always seems to override the bike, whereas Easton is a perfect example of smooth controlled aggression - and surely the infinite adjustments available on these bikes respond better to a delicate touch no matter how entertaining Karl’s style is to watch (and shoot).
