The paramedic said there is only one Ambulance in the Ambulance Station for the Area we were in, that 1 Ambulance has to feed 3 Hospitals (Colchester, Chelmsford & Cambridge) and there was a large number of calls into the Ambulance yesterday and that is why they sent the first emergency response vehicle when the Copper called to chase it up rather than the wait for the Ambulance, then when the Emergency response turned up they knew it was an emergency but couldn’t get the big transporter Ambulance to him any sooner so got the 2nd Emergency response vehice out to him with Better Drugs. I said i knew a bloke with great drugs that could be anywhere in 20 mins but the Copper wasn’t too keen on it 
you forgot Southend & Romford that are closer than the other hospitals
& 3 hours is about right for mid Essex a few of mine & Mrs wises friends are paramedics & a few years back they was dropping like flies through overworking
its a shame about Jarrod & I wish him all the best

I blame the government for the NHS cuts. The NHS staff have always been great when I’ve finally gotten round to seeing them.
