Green lanes, motocross tracks and tuition.

Hi,

I have just got hold of a Husky te610 and am keen to make the most of it.

I live out Surrey way and am looking for green lanes, motocross tracks and tuition/guidance.

I have been riding for years and am comfortable on Tarmac but this will be a newish skill and I want to learn to really enjoy it.

Any pointers or info ipis much appreciated.

You don’'t want to be taking a 610 on an MX track…To slow and heavy they are more a road bike mate

Buy Ordnance Survey Map of your area and you will find plenty of tracks in Surrey or join http://www.trf.org.uk/ and they will show you all the good ones.

svens handywork! not sure how extensive it is in your area but still a brilliant idea!

I watched a few of his Videos. He is fooking annoying his voice does my cannister in. I ended up throwing my laptop out the window. Hey sven here this week i’m shaving my short and curlies…

svens off road antics are pretty entertaining, and his maps are good…other than that he has far too much time on his hands, yet to find out how he funds the life of riley that he leads

…know what you mean though moto king

I quite like sven - especially the one where he comes to a swelled stream by a little bridge - sureveys it, then thinks “feck it” and drives straight in upto his chest. very funny.

I’m moving down to surrey and i would also love to give this a bash as I hear sooo many bikes around the area (Farnham/Crondall). I hear its got loads of green lanes down there.

i enjoy svens videos alot. mordeth13 on the other hand does my head in, spouting utter shite which is regularly entirely false, grrrrr!

Club night 4th Wed in Ewell. Regular rides organised.

Nice negative answer, but as I know it’s not what you ride but how you ride it!

I loved to smoke the R1’s on my company Fazer bolt upright with top box…

To me the Husky is light as a feather compared to my other bikes bar the mv

I saw the surrey group and will most likely check you guys out as you seem to have a good encouraging attitude…

Take it round there then. Look to your left…Face bothered

Your best bet is joining up with the TRF group, they will know all the legal areas to ride and will help you/ take the piss when required.

Mr fooligan your welcome to join me and mates off road but were not doing any lanes Just racing H&H and MX tracks, wales now and then.

Theres a nice track up at ashdown and a place down at four marks thats cheap (£10) and easy going. you will be fine on an MX track dude, just pick your way round and have some fun, you see all sorts of bikes at them, even seen some bloke on a BMW F650

were all racing hare and hounds down at bagshot this sunday if you want to come down an have a look.I will be in the london fire brigade enduro camp.

PM me your number and ill give you a shout about practice days.

Haha

I take my 610 on mx tracks when I’ve got the dirt wheels on it:). :D. Turn up riding the bike, spend the day on the track, (wishing I couldve spent all my money on fox stickers and the latest mx get up) then sit on my back wheel past the queue of vans on my way out! Straight to the wash down point then home:D

But still the SM wheels give me a bigger grin:D

+1 Getting round a MX track on a 610 wont be any fun at all… especially on ski drop off jumps
