footage filmed by Mick Jordan during a practice session in this year’s Manx GP. Jordan gets overtaken by a much faster Purdy, but at the School House Corner Purdy crashes out and his bike bursts into flames with Jordan going through the fireball and narrowly avoiding the downed rider.
Purdy was airlifted to the hospital and treated for a broken left arm and some ligament damage to his right, otherwise he’s a very, very lucky rider.
