So I keep reading about the 2nd home allowance and such expenidures…
So people are loosing their jobs, homes, families etc because they cannot make ends meet where as the MP’s get £300’000 to help them out each year…
on top of the £65’000 (with new payrise they are getting)
with that in mind they are getting a 2.3% payrise where most of the people I know are not getting any rises at all (me included)…
Surley there should be some sort of level on this I mean £300’000 each a year I could buy a house, car and have a great holiday on that!
I just feel more now than ever that the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. I’m just feeling really pee’d off at the moment that I’m one of those struggerling and everytime I look in the news, MP and councilors are getting even more money!!
ok rant over, just looking to see how other people feel about the whole thing really.
After watching the news last night I suddenly became aware just how out of touch I was with the amount that they claim on top of their wage. It would take me 5 years or more to earn what they claim each year, and these are the people we rely on to run the country in an honest and honourable way. Still it’s good to see that whilst most of the country is imploding on itself they feel confident enough to give themselves a nice payrise.

but the payrise thing just drew the line for me… surely they should have all just said £63’000 is enough for me thanks. but no another nearly £2k each!
I run my own small company and I have to be so carefull what I can claim as an expense and these cretins can buy a second home with what they can claim on expenses. The second home rule should be scrapped and MP’s should have to do exactly the same as any other business person and claim a flat rate overnight allowance. I think there has been such an outcry about MP’s claiming on second homes that this will probably come to pass.
