Dead useful vans, I miss mine even though it was only an escort.
A van opens up all kinds of possibilites - trackdays - motorcrossing - definitely worth looking into! Is it difficult getting the bike up into the van on a ramp? E.g. is it heavy and does it ever feel like ity’s gonna keel over on the way in
ive never had a problem when i have hired vans , i bought a collapsile trailer off ccm630 for £220 went to put the bike on and couldnt hold it while trying to strap it down so thought fk this (put it on ebay 50 quid no reserve got 300 cash for it .and put it towards the van, ihavent bought a proper ramp yet but ive only had it 12 hrs ill be looking to get one on ebay later, This one is very low at the back as well so that makes life easier and its got twin doors to get into not an up&over type so thats gonna be ok, cant stand up straight in it but just wheel the bike in wedge and strap it in behind seat no problems. my normal trackday at brands starts with a trip up in the car taking all the bits then going back home to ride the bike up the mrs useally turns up to take it all home. but this way i can load up and go even take both bikes case i come off, plus i can go to other tracks with out any hassle , cant wait to do my next track day , might wait till its a bit warmer tho. should have the k6 gsxr 600 all ready by then!
and my kids and nephews can bung their pit bikes and crossers in the back go up in one trip . ALLWAYS WANTED A VAN BUT HAVENT HAD THE ROOM WHERE WE ARE , ( so got 3 vehicles out side oooohhh how the neighbours will be staring when they relise its mine:D:D) i expect a letter from the residents assc , soon):ermm: , yes a real world of possibilites:cool: ive seen (think its johnny bravo) getiing his bike up on the back of a pick up i wouldt be brave enough to try that but he makes it look so easy
Brilliant! Just make sure you’ve got some decent ratchet straps!
