Near oval stadium one lady was running and crossing the road between trucks and as usual I was in the middle filtering suddenly she jumps infront and I braked in time but she was carrying a plastic bag with some rubbish in it which hit me on the face because I had my helmet open…lucky it was some empty containers and i was slow…other wise my face would have been smashed and teeth gone…now i close my helemt…dont repeat same mistake twice
always wear a full face lid…

This is the one accident that nearly happens to me the most. Pedestrians just rushing out through stationary traffic and not looking for bikes. I even looked for bikes before I rode one. I’ve been rolling along behind someone who decided to step thorugh traffic and walk along a bit and have no idea that I’m behind them. Until I beep the horn. They don’t like that. Makes them look stupid. Got sworn at by a teenage schoolgirl for doing that. heh heh.

I do give it a little blip sometimes. Sometimes they realise. Although once a bloke just looked at me and nonchalantly said “what?”… I had to give him credit for that.

I hate people that do this with a passion. They have no idea how much damage a bike can do to them. This happen to Jay some years back, He’ll tell you the dangers of this.
had this happen so many times. what annoys me more is when they dont seem to care or say thankyou that your quick thinking saved their live.

As I posted some time earlier this year I had an iPed walk in front of me, blipped the throttle and they went off on one. Waited for them to calm down and then asked what they thought would happen when 136kg of bike and 110 kg of fat bloke hit them. Hopefully they could do the math. She looked a bit pale and then scuttled off.:rolleyes:
