I got mine done by a bike garage in Bow-recommended by Essential Rubber before they had MOT capability.
But I think they can do MOTs now. Not quite North, but if you’re passing on the A12 worth a look

Had i seen this topic sooner I would’ve recommended one in Wood Green, Eaglespeed garage they do mostly cars but Steve the owner who is a biker does MOT on bikes too. Very friendly and fair chap, I used to take my bikes to him when I lived in North London 
Used to go to Essential Rubber but its just a bit further away from me now so I’d recommend Southern Cross in Kilburn if you’re looking for somewhere in North London
Nowawdays I prefer letting Mike MD Racing take the bike away in his van, getting it MOTd and serviced in Leatherhead and him bringing it back to me all shiny and clean
