George White

I like the guys at George White in Shorditch. They seem to be reasonable people and were very helpful when my bike was there recently for a repair and later a service.

But. Does anybody ever manage to call them? The only phone number on their website goes through to sales who then need to redirect you to the service departement. But everytime I had to call them, I had to call about 7-8 times on different times of the day before finally somebody would answer the phone.

They were supposed to order me some fork seals and let me know when they’re in so I can drop my bike of, but I’m seriously considering going somewhere else as it’s just impossible to speak to them. I really don’t want to as I like the mechanics and it’s not their fault, but surely it can’t be good for business?

When i was looking at new bikes i enquired at george whites in shoreditch. Was the manager of the store at the time was dealing with me, and to be honest, i left with the impression that he didnt really wana be bothered giving me the time of day. A week later i bought a nicer bike (same model as the one i looked at at george whites) with half the mileage on it, for 700 quid cheaper

They are a complete pain in the arse to get hold of - I thought maybe they were short staffed the day I was trying to book my service - but it must happen all the time

Theyre just around the corner from me at work. If you want me to get a message to them, I can  Not an ideal solution, but if you want to deal with them, happy to help

I did manage to speak to them late in the day, but only to find out that their “parts man” isn’t in until Monday, so they don’t know.
FFS, how hard do they expect people to work to give them business
