Don’t know how much of that is true but it explains a lot !
We are stuffed with regards to fuel they can charge what they like the government don’t care as they make money from excise duty and VAT on top of that.
The production of oil is a smoke screen to enable very very rich people/companies to become even richer, I will personally will be glad when it runs out and we have to source another type of fuel.
I agree, petrol is so last century. . . The alternative to the petrol powered motorcycle is already here! Fancy swapping your GSXR,R1,ZX6R etc for Intelligent Energy’s ENV:

It’s powered by a compressed hydrogen fuel cell, it’s completely silent and the only emissions are water vapour. I know that it’s not going to get your pulse racing - but it’s their first bike - and they’re collaborating with Suzuki to produce commercially viable fuel cell motorcycles - Suzuki has already unveiled the Crosscage concept fuel cell motor bike powered by an Intelligent Energy fuel cell power system and rechargeable lithium batteries:
With enough R & D maybe they will eventually come up with a fuel cell powered GSXR. . .
