Went for a ride out with his mate, and was ‘wiped out’ by another motorcyclist on a roundabout around 3 hours ago.
He’s in a hospital somewhere in Ashford with a broken right arm (now in cast), and is due to stay there for next 3 days at least.
From the sounds of it, his bike has a pretty battered front end (wheel, forks, yokes, wafer thin screen bracket and plastics) but he reckons it’s resurrectable.
The other rider suffered a broken arm/shoulder and also has a battered bike. They shared the same ambulance apparently, and are in the same hospital… though am guessing nowhere near each other (well, if I were in Kev’s situation, not so near that I could throw something at 'em, verbal or otherwise…)
Hope both make a speedy recovery, natrually I’m biased towards my mate, so hope he’s better soon, and insurance sorts things out quickly.
Kev to confirm again in person, but through the misty haze of morphine, he said that while he and his mate were out, they saw another rider, who then tagged along of his own accord… the other rider was riding a little ‘spiritedly’ (my word) prior, and then attempted to overtake Kev on a roundabout, then their wheels clipped…
Bad news dude gws, I just dont get peeps like that its not a race ffs I never trust anyone I dont know. even the ones I do I keep my distance from coz they will take you out the mofo.
Just seen this post - i’m the other bikers OH ventured over from another forum. Wont go in to details but lets just say there is 2 sides to every story so best left to the police to sort out and not speculate too much!! BUT in defence of my OH, i have to say he would never ever do anything stupid to put anyone else in danger…
He is currently in hospital, and as said fractured shoulder and broken fingers.
