France Trip Reunion Sat 15th March

Further to our organisers meeting last week, we have arranged for three meeting points for the France trip. Because it’s an early train at the Euro tunnel, we need to make sure we are there in plenty of time (1hour B4 departure) so they’re early starts!

There will be an organiser at each meeting point in case you have any problems. Please make yourself known to them on arrival. Because the timings have no leeway for late comers, if for any reason you think you’re going to be late for your meeting point, please make your own way to the final meeting point at Maidstone services for a 6.30 leave.

Box hill meet leaves @ 5.30am. The organiser here will be YRDIB (Clint)

Ace Café meet leaves @ 5am. The organiser here will be Ginger

Maidstone Services meet leaves @ 6.30am.The organiser for Maidstone will be ** Riz**

Can everyone please make sure you’re topped up with fuel at Maidstone, as we will not be filling up again until lunchtime over in France. This will be a total of 50 miles from Maidstone.

Back in March LB was part of a trip to France that was a perfect start to the biking season. The plan is to team up with other bike forums and repeat this trip next year.

Unlike last years trip this will be one ride - there won’t be a splinter group. Clint from Citybikers Crew is arranging the ride this year and it’s open to other forums too. So let’s get out there and enjoy an early trip to France in 2008.

Details are being worked out now and we’re looking to see who is up for this trip so please put your names down if you want to express an interest in coming along.

Hi everyone we have had a quote per biker for the group bookings ,it is advisable to pay asap , as we can not confirm the booking until we have collected all money from people

Times going out will be 8:20 train and coming back in will be the 21:20 train on the 15th March 2008 ,

Myself, Lee and CLint (from CBC)will be collecting all your moneys asap, please try not to delay as this could lose your place on the same train …

we are normally up at Ace on most Fridays ,please have £22.00 for your booking so we can commence on other plans for the ride ,

The group Booking deadline will be ending on Fri 8th February 2008

Is this gonna be a day trip or longer ? I think busa55 was on about doing a day trip to froggy land, still if Im not working I’d go on it, any idea of dates yet ?

Well I’m back -so put my name down for it :slight_smile:

I’m very keen to go on this one. 99%. it would be my first ride abroad if I go. Wanted to go on the Brugge ride few months ago, but missed it :pinch:, never got the bike sorted.Any more details regarding the route, best bits from last years trip, costs( group bookings) ?

It is on saturday, so I would be keen to stay overnight in some quiet french hotel with my missus :cool:, then come back on Sunday.
