Flip up plates

Whats up with all these bikes with flip up plates?

:old_man:

Yer have to say I’ve noticed a lot more than usual.

Probably because of the tunnel charges I’d wager.

It’s risky enough. If you are pulled over you can be charged with perverting the cause of justice.

I don’t think ive ever seen one in the wild.

Are you seeing flipped plates or you can just see the mechanism behind it?

im seeing bikes ridden while plates are flipped up

Well they’d better run, as perverting the cause of justice can carry a prison sentence.

There’s a really old clip of some guys hooning it to Brighton on the Brighton Burnup and doing rolling burnouts. One of them had a flip up plate. He got a 2 year ban and sent down for 3 months. Without the plate he’d have probably just got the ban. He was known to some people on here.

They also confiscated his bike and he had to go home in the police van.
