Flatouts BIG sunday Rideout (details & names)

The meet point Ace cafe sunday 21st oct 8:30 am departure on the dotThe destination, Hunstanton Norfolk approx 150 miles each way:D

Route is mainly A roads with branches off from the main route to keep it interesting but with a short and pretty much unavoidable stint of the M11 about six miles or so then back to open A roads with no cameras:)

Hunstanton is a traditional british seaside cold windy and full of Oap’s but sundays it gets full of bikes i have been assured that it goes on pretty much all year round more so if its dry and sunny, there is a little cafe/stroke shed open on the front for a hot cuppa and a few chippys… but i cannot guarantee these will be open i have made some inquires and have been told " they should be"

But this one is more about the ride then the destination I done it myself only last week and thought this would be a good hack with 20-30+ bikes so to make up for lack of rides this is a big one we can hang about in Hunstanton for about two hours then back to the Ace, the ride back will be corner man too not the usual free for all this is a days riding like the St George ride

i will do fuel/rest stops on the way i did my trip there with a tank and a bit of reserve no stopping and a brisk pace took 2 hours so id say about 3 hours max with stops.

Cornerman will be in place and the rules stuck too and then no one gets left behind

names down if your coming ill add em to the list so i know the size of the group

thanks… will need some volunteers thhanks to those who have put hands up

we will explain how this works on the day for those that dont know.

My folks run a b&b in Snettisham beach. The chippies are usually open all year round, there’s the one by the tesco roundabout/caravan park but the one in the town is much better. There’s cameras going in after Snettisham/Heacham turns, accident black spot so be careful. Lots of ‘think bike’ signs along that stretch too. But Norfolk roads have f all cats eyes and aren’t lit, so after dark is bugger. Especially along that stretch to Wisbeach with the steep drop.

Wish I could come with you but I’m at the Halloweenfest that weekend. If I was going, we could invade my folks and get an all day brekkie… tis a top breakfast! If there is anything you want to know about the area, I can ask my folks for info.

I’ll come along

Aye stick mine down too.

Ahhhh Cheers BB my nan and sister live there too hence my visit as long as we can get a drink and some grub thats all that matters i feel better from valuable knowledge… can you make the sunshine too haha:)

blimey your in a good mood!! must have got a shag last night… hehe:P

pmsl @ west tiger…

As it goes, my folks are bikers too and have hosted biker meets at theirs. They used to be part of the Chiltern Hills chapter before they moved to Norfolk (got Guzzis now) Infact they were both London bikers in their day and were a bit naughty. They also do a fantastic breakfast for about £5. I can’t make it shine but I could ask if they would consider making you horrible lot breakkie. yay or nay?

Is this open to anyone

thought I should ask as i’m from up near cambridge

have met a few members off of here before (don’t ask names) on an xt660.com ride

FM your name is down…

BB nice offer but there may be a quite few or if it turns wet and nasty there may a few so could be a let down on our part so probably best to decline as a whole, but if anyone wants to take up the invitation themselves thats up to the individuals themselves ill let them sort it via you. nice touch though…

And westie shut your mouth havent you got a dick to put in it…

Put me down for this - not sure about christine yet she hasn’t been on the back of the new bike - don’t think she’ll cope with 300miles!!!

Got a wedding on the Saturday but should be up fer this one. Do you need a tail gunner?

Sounds good! Put my name down

Cheers Keti may well do…

id love to come i hope my rear will hold up for another few weeks
or maybe i should get new pair straight away ( i m thinking p powers;))

anyway put me down as maybe:)

Well heellloooo Flats ! Long time no hear…right, yes i would like to come on your rideout…but err…can you let me know if there can be some sort of meet point on route, to save us up ere in good ol essex coming all the way to ace to turn round and come back up this way again? (means i can stay in bed bit longer as well!)…got an idea of route from ace you will be taking? Is there somewhere near M11 we could meet?

shouldnt be a prob… i may change the route slightly so ill give you a shout and let you

Really sorry but I can’t make it.

I was looking forward to meeting some LBers, and I was really looking forward to a good day’s ride. We’re on hol’s the week after, so a Sunday rideout would have made a great start to the holiday.

I told Mrs BB last night, to see if she fancied coming along, and she then told me that she’d organised a surprise day out with some of my old mates at the races in Cheltenham for the day before, followed by a night out somewhere in the Midlands. So I’ll be waking up with a hangover, on someone’s floor no doubt, while you’re off to the seaside.

Sorry to cry off, but I’m sure you’ll all have a great time (and thanks to Flatout for organising it, even if I can’t come).

Coolio, happy to oblige

Did someone ask to join on the M11 ? That would be good for me too, saves coming down to go back up again.
