Just to add - he wont get sacked, 1 of my mates is an RAC man and he’s ended up damaging a few cars and he’s still sat in his van next to Blackheath tea hut everyday

You have paid for a service.
That service does not include damage to your bike.
He has a ‘Duty Of Care’ to customers and thier property and has failed to fullfil this.
Report it now to the AA.
You never signed anything did you??? Like a little flimsy that has a picture of a bike or car on it and places where they mark any damages??? Says the bike was dillivered in good order…Cos if you did you are going to have to get hold of the AA PDQ and report it pronto!! They will argue through their back teeth that the agency bloke never damaged the bike so be prepaired for a fight.
As for the W4NKER that collected you…I’d have punched him out then called the AA for another rescue, just to make sure that they knew what had happened. 3 kids??? sack??? B0ll0cks!! He should have thought of that before. Cheaky sh1t, asks you to care for him, but shown you no regard whatsoever. You’ll find that he aint insured to do this for a living, mate. As has been said in other replies, how many other bikes has this tw4at dropped?? And why should you be the proud owner of a bike this 4rsehole damaged through his own neglect and incompetence??

he put 2 straps on the handle but the handle twisted so the straps became loose…
I am still thinking because I gave my word to him…but i am really pissed of about damage I might call AA later…all you guys are telling me to so you must be right…
I wouldnt think twice about telling them about the damage caused to my bike even thought it was an accident its their responsibilty to make sure your bike doesnt fall over.
I strapped my bike into a van when I bought it and it didnt fall over or get damaged & as the bloke gets paid to do this as part of his job he should make sure yours didnt fall over either, Im sure if it was you strapping his bike down and it fell over he’d be straight on the phone!

Now go do the next morally good thing for yourself and claim.
My only concern is that it’s his word against yours that the damage occurred during transport. The longer you leave it, the less likely they are to believe you…
Sorry to hear whats happened but i would say its too late now to claim. It should have been done at the time. They will argue with you that it has happened afterwards and they had nothing to do with it. You have no proof and when the driver left as far as the company are concerned they have nothing in writing to say there was damage caused by the driver. Besides the driver will now claim there was nothing wrong and take a back seat.

I would tend to agree with PJ. If you aint done it by now, too late. :crying: If the bike fell of the trailer then it’s an unsafe load (CU50) isnt it?? I only say that cos I had a bag fall of my bike years ago and I was prosecuted for it. Can understand why though.
Report it - the full story truthfully and send photos of damage- he will deny it and try to gety out of it!
if you claim it might stop him dropping somone elses bike!!
i would not have let him take it without enough straps!
had a bike picked up by SOS a few years ago to take my bike from Holloway to Edgware- Judds after 4 hrs my bike hadnt appeared??? its a 20-30 min drive??
called SOS to find out where bike was and they fed me all sorts of bullshit about van breaking down etc so i went to judds and got there as van turned up 5 hrs later!!! i asked him where he had been he said broken down, so if youve been broken down how come my bike is on the opposite side of the van and strapped differently???
he admitted he had been doing other jobs and collecting other bikes, 
the AA paid for the scratch on my fairing and tank!!!

ok thanks I called AA and they said someone will call me from complaints dept in 5 days…
Thanks I called today the AA and they said that someone will call me in 5 days. I was upset to see my bike with all that damage. Broken fairing, damage fins, damage tank. Also I lost about £100 already in repairs and lot pay.
Thanks for your advice from all you guys…I have acted on your advice Now I have called the AA, lets see what the other guy says. I do not have any proof. So I am not sure what the result will be. My rear faring is badly.

By the sounds of it there was a fair bit damage, a small scratch I probably wouldnt have bothered but looks like you’ve got a few hundred quids worth of damage so dont feel bad about claiming
