just seen the big fire in camden market.glad nowone is hurt.barro is as usual in the thick of things u just cant keep him away from the action
Seen this on the news, amazing that no one was hurt, gets very busy at the weekends. Isn’t is a bit of a coinsidence though that they wanted to build some sort of shopping complex where camden market is but there was a massive petition against it!!! very strange, could be completly innocent though.
That’s the first thing that came to my mind - they’ve been trying to re-build/standardise that area for ages… yeah, like we need another 40 starbucks!!!
Gutted, totally love that area!!!
I have just read about it and i wonder if the market will be open today.
strange, I rode through at about 4pm and again at 5.30 yesterday. It was absolutely heaving. I noticed they have various teporary roofing/scaffold in the old market bit and was thinking to myself what a mess, but then it did have a sort of down market charm to it. It would be a shame if it changed to a modern all glass and concrete affair.
Absolutely gutted I just hope that it regains it’s charisma soon!!:crying:
Call me a conspiracy theorist, but that’s an insurance job or I’m a bald, hairless skinny, camp, considerate, polite, diplomatic, fey fashion designer that all the girls fancy and gets invited to all the best parties…
See…
Christ that was waiting to happen. What, fire, in an incredibly good area to develop… oh and only poor individual traders with no share holder value, or corporate ideology with NO access to good legal representation in the way of our greedy plans … guess whose “stall” isn’t getting rebuilt, and which landlord is about to make several million in property
could see the cloud last night with the big bird whirling around all night long, traggic.
Who would be so feckless as to suggest an insurance job? Now burning it doown to make the Planning process easier …
