Fella wheelied past copper - lucky escape !!

Coming home tonight was alongside a beige/silver zx6r I sometimes see, and he decided to depart from the lights on his back wheel into the distance - next thing a police bike that was heading the other way (bmw bike with little fairing) does a U-turn and follows this fella !

Doh ! I thought. Next set of lights were red so the copper pulls up next to the guy on the kwak - who stares straight ahead, I don’t know is he didn’t see the copper or just ignored him :w00t: Finally gets his attention and has a quick work before the lights turn green (couldn’t hear what he said) but needless to say our friend on the kwak continues at a far more sedate pace !

Lucky escape in my opinion - and fair play to the way it was deal with - when I saw the police bike going after him I thought he’d really had it !

Good bit of Policing.

I bet his visor steamed right up the instant he saw the police bike in his mirror!

I wonder what was said…

Lucky escape:D and more proof that there are decent plod out ther:P

That prolly depends how good the wheelie was?

Lucky guy. I got caught doing 50 in a 30 and the plod let me off, i think its cause even he didnt think it should have been a 30 where i was. Not been caught doing wheelies yet… not that i do them on the public highway ofcourse :Whistling:

You just made tea come out of my nose, Sneaky.

That’s the way to deal with it. Many years ago I was coming home on my Honda 400/4 round the Walthamstow bit of the North Circular, not much traffic so I was ‘making good progress’. Went blasting past an artic only to find there were two police BMWs riding in front of it. At the next lights one pulled up on either side of me and just sat there. Not a word until the lights were just about to change when one leaned over, tapped me on the arm and said, “those 400s go well, don’t they?” and they went. Message received!

Heading into work this mornign, I found myself following an officer on a bike. Some of the stuff he was doing was unbelievable… undertaking, filtering on the wrong side of traffic islands, riding into cycle boxes… very relaxed, but that’s not my point.

As we’re goign round the south circ, slow traffic obvisouly, I see in the distance a bloke leap out of his car on the other side of the road and run round the front. To me, it looked like he was goign to talk to the bloke i the car in front of him.

Plod has obviousy spotted this as well as you can see he’s checking it out.

When we get closer, the traffic has pulled ahead of this guy’s car, which is now sat right in the middle of a box junction, door wide open blocking everyone, his 10 year old sat in the front seat looking very confused. He is NOWHERE to be seen.

The copper naturally pulls up to look around, putting his lights on too. As I pass by, this bloke is stood by the side of the road, legs akimbo leanign back withg a look of ecstasy on his face as he pisses up a wall. :hehe:

What made it even funnier is whilst this guy is pissing away in front of a copper with his car stopped in a box junction and a child left there at the mercy of the traffic… there’s a line of about 35 4-8 year old school chidlren walking behind him with a teacher at the fron and back watching him and his golden puddle expand over the pavement…

SOME PEOPLE… I bet he got a RIGHT bollockin! :hehe:

From your description of the bike I would suggest he’s probably Special Escort Group…bunch of ace motorcyclists who aren’t really that interested in routine police work like FPN’s…

I had a similar experience a couple of years ago…riding along Lambeth Road, past the Imperial War Museum there was someone riding like he stole it…SEG bloke pulls along side me but behind the chap who was going for it between the lights and when we all pulled away from the lights he pulled along side as the unlucky chap was riding along and tapped the offender on the shoulder…waved at him, and then buggered off into the distance

That’s excellent.

Yet more praise for bike cops!

he usually take you to do something really really stupid and dangerous to others for a bike cop to bother with more than a nice word of advise…
Usually, if you get down by one of them, you do deserve it.
It’s the one in Surrey in their car that really fu3k me up big time:angry:

thats priceless…lmfao!!:D:hehe:

Nothing wrong with a bit of pig baiting :P:)
